GP House emerged from a collaborative effort between like-minded firms with a shared approach to design. Embracing simplicity and clean geometry, the project centers around maximizing outdoor living, with terraces serving as focal points. Transparency and privacy were paramount considerations, offering stunning views of the golf course and surrounding greenery.
Sustainable Design
Grounded in sustainable and bioclimatic principles, the project underwent thorough analysis of local climatology and natural elements’ orientations. This informed the design, optimizing energy consumption and enhancing inhabitants’ well-being. The orientation towards the north maximizes natural lighting through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, complemented by dynamic facade panels for privacy and unobstructed views.
Natural Ventilation and Illumination
Innovative features such as ailerons in the bedroom slabs act as hot air extraction chimneys, promoting natural illumination and regulating interior temperatures. This ensures spaces remain fresh and well-ventilated, reducing reliance on air conditioning systems throughout the year.
Elegant Material Palette
The carefully curated palette of materials including concrete, wood, steel, and glass creates an elegant and serene ambiance. This selection fosters a sense of tranquility, enhancing user well-being within the space.
Functional Layout
The first level boasts an open-plan layout, partitioned by sliding wooden panels to provide privacy in specific areas while maintaining connectivity with the terrace and pool. The second level serves as a private domain housing four bedrooms and a family room, all connected by a perimeter terrace, fostering an intimate connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Conclusion: A Retreat of Tranquility
GP House epitomizes the fusion of design excellence and environmental consciousness. From its seamless integration with the natural surroundings to its emphasis on sustainability and user comfort, the residence offers a sanctuary of peace and harmony. It stands as a testament to the power of collaborative design in creating spaces that enrich lives and inspire connection with nature.
