Louis Poulsen, in collaboration with the renowned Japanese design studio Nendo led by Oki Sato, introduced the NJP Mini in 2022, marking a significant addition to the NJP series.
Design and Versatility
The NJP Mini represents the smallest size within the NJP series, offering a versatile lighting solution for various spaces. Its modern and user-centric design makes it ideal for placement on windowsills, bookcases, dressers, bedside tables, or smaller desks, adding a touch of soothing ambience. The lamp is available in a warm palette of four novel colors—Rose brown, Soft pink, Petrol blue, and Taupe—alongside the classic options of Black, White, and Light alu grey, ensuring a timeless appeal that blends seamlessly with diverse interiors.
Functionality and Control
Featuring a stationary angle of 15° for the arm, the NJP Mini allows for tilting and rotation of the head, offering customizable illumination. The arm can rotate 342° around the base, providing flexibility in positioning. Control is streamlined with a single push button on the lamp head, enabling functions like on/off, dimming, light fading in/out, stepless dimming between 15% and 100%, and timer settings for automatic light-off after 4 or 8 hours. Additionally, a fixed light level can be set each time the lamp is connected to the main power.
Construction and Specifications
The NJP Mini boasts a powder-coated finish in a range of colors, with a base crafted from steel and the arm/lamp head made of aluminum. Its mounting system includes a baseplate, with a PVC cord measuring 2.5m for flexible placement. The lamp utilizes an LED light source with 2700K and 10W, providing a luminous output of 418 lumens.
Technical Details and Safety
The lamp is designed with Ingress protection IP20 and Electric shock protection II without ground. The LED driver is separate and plugs into a power outlet, featuring a white cord for White and Soft pink variants and a black cord for other colors.
