Elevating Dining Spaces: Dinesen's Solid Wood Floors at Noma 2.0 Restaurant

Dinesen’s Heart Oak and Douglas Wood take center stage at the renowned Noma 2.0 restaurant, a culinary icon designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group and Studio David Thulstrup. As a symbol of gastronomy and innovation, Noma has transitioned into a new era, embracing a space replete with wooden floors, ceilings, and wall cladding from Dinesen, echoing the restaurant’s ethos and forward-looking vision.

Embracing Nature’s Best

Dinesen’s commitment to excellence shines through in their meticulous selection of Heart Oak and Douglas Wood, sourced from nature’s finest offerings. Each tree is chosen with precision, reflecting Dinesen’s unwavering dedication to quality.

Welcome and Elegance

Upon entering Noma 2.0, guests are greeted by the warm embrace of Dinesen Oak Natural covering the walls and ceilings, setting the tone for a refined dining experience. The main dining room, characterized by expansive floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the lake, exudes a rustic charm reminiscent of an old barn, with solid Dinesen Heart Oak planks underfoot.

Private Retreat

In the private dining room, Douglas Wood adorns every surface, from flooring to wall cladding, shelving units, and ceilings. The Douglas planks extend to the supporting pillars and beams, enriching the architectural narrative of the space and creating a cohesive ambiance.

Relaxed Atmosphere

The lounge area, situated to the right of the entrance, invites guests to unwind and engage in culinary conversations. Hand-made bricks line the walls and floors, while Oak Natural planks grace the ceiling, culminating in a skylight above a striking dark-shaded brick fireplace, adding to the inviting allure.

Historical Echoes

Noma’s original structure, a former military warehouse, now boasts bespoke Douglas wood elements, including a 70-meter-long wooden cabinet and shelving system. Douglas also finds its place in the staff area, serving as both flooring and wall cladding, preserving the heritage while embracing modernity.
